DEAD BEATS
About

The Beats are dead; long live Dead Beats.

‘Astonishing […] uber-successful student run blog’ — Caroline Leavitt, New York Times Best Seller and Boston Globe and People magazine reviewer.

‘The conception of Dead Beats Literary Blog isn’t so much about being an attack on the system per se, but retaining a commitment to think outside the box even if you are physically in it.’ — Michelle Kambasha, Spilt inc.

Dead Beats is a Sheffield-based, student-run publishing and performance poetry organisation, set up to cultivate literary sartorialism. The site works as an interactive publishing space which showcases poems, short stories (max. 2000 words) and experimental pieces from some of the best unpublished writers around today. We also run live poetry events and look to exhibit the finest performance poets and spoken word acts in the local scene.
